Wetland walk and talk – Lauderdale

Come and learn more about the beautiful, yet fragile saltmarsh community that surround parts of Lauderdale. Dr Vishnu Prahalad from the University of Tasmania, will be on hand to share stories of the hidden secrets of the saltmarsh ecosystem and the unique plants that inhabit the wetlands.
BirdLife Tasmania convenor Dr Eric Woehler will also be present to identify and talk about the migratory shorebirds that breed in Siberia but spend the summer months here in Tasmania. There will be telescopes for your use, and material for you to take with you.
Bring along sturdy shoes or gumboots, hat, suitable clothes and binoculars.
