Farmers and landholders, NRM Facilitators, Stories

Great day at the Huon Show

The Farm Shed was a hive of activity, with NRM South teaming up with the Huon Producers Network and Robbie Gaffney from the State Government’s Wildlife Management Branch.
The Huon Producers Network had a fantastic stall as always, selling great local produce and talking to people about how the network can support small producers in the region.
Robbie one of the State Government’s Wildlife Management Officers who works with landowners and farmers to better manage wallabies and possums. He had a range of equipment including wallaby-proof fencing on display.
On the NRM South stall we gave away 200 free native plants as part of a plant ID quiz!

As always the Show was a great opportunity to catch up with people, meet new land holders and find out how we can help them manage their properties, including promoting our up and coming events such as the ‘Small Farm Planning Program’.
