Information about NI Grants – round 8

Round 8 opened in February and closed March 2015. The grants, funded by the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program, amalgamated the previous On Farm Action grants or Public Benefit grants into the Naturally Inspired Grants program. In 2015 the focus was on grants that:

  •  Increased engagement, participation and capacity building in natural resource management
  •  Included on ground works to protect national and state listed species/communities/places
  •  Encouraged farmers and fishers to adopt sustainable management initiatives

Projects included either: Direct on-ground works; community capacity and awareness raising; engagement with or delivery by indigenous people

NRM South announced 32 successful recipients for round 8 of the Naturally Inspired Grants program, including 12 community groups and 20 landholders sharing in just over $154,000 or between $2000-$5000 in funding each. These projects will be delivered during 2015-16. See the release here.
