Join NRM South and Huon Valley Council’s NRM Unit for an informative one-day workshop on organic weed management!

Learn more about managing weeds using an organic approach. We will have presentations on the step-by-step process for prioritising your weed management and developing a written plan, as well as practical demonstrations on organic weed control.

Grant Horne from Free Settlers Historical Plant Nursery will also be discussing his organic weed management ethos ‘Time, Money, Effort’ and sharing lessons learnt through a long history of managing orchards and gardens.

The workshop will be hosted at an organic farm in Cygnet where the owners are currently managing weeds such as gorse, Spanish heath and blackberries using a variety of non-chemical management approaches.
